Accessing dental care can often be a challenge, especially when many dental offices have long waiting lists or are not accepting new patients. However, SUNY Broome’s Dental Hygiene Clinic is providing the Binghamton community with affordable dental services while also offering students practical experience in the field.
Clinic Hours And Availability
For the spring semester, the clinic will be open from 8:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, until May. During the fall semester, from September to December, the clinic will operate on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Free Services for Students and Medicaid Patients
SUNY Broome students and Medicaid recipients are eligible to receive free dental services. To take advantage of this offer, individuals simply need to present a valid student ID or Medicaid card at the time of the appointment. The clinic does not accept other forms of insurance.

The clinic provides a variety of dental services, including:
- Intraoral and extraoral exams
- X-rays
- Oral self-care instructions
- Cleanings
- Sports mouth guards
- Sealants
- Fluoride treatments
- Dental and periodontal charting
