On World Oral Health Day, Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh inaugurated six mobile dental clinics at Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences in New Delhi. This initiative aims to provide free dental services to residents across the city, particularly in underprivileged areas.
The mobile clinics are equipped with modern dental chairs, portable X-ray units, ultrasonic scalers, and sterilization units.
They will offer services such as oral screenings, fluoride treatments, pain management, and basic restorative procedures.
Each vehicle also features smart televisions and audio devices to educate people about maintaining oral hygiene.
The clinics are a collaborative effort between the Delhi government and Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences (MAIDS). They will operate in conjunction with government dispensaries, schools, and social welfare programs to reach students, senior citizens, and vulnerable communities.
Minister Pankaj Singh emphasized the importance of timely dental care, stating that these clinics will ensure quality dental services reach every corner of Delhi, including slums and densely populated areas. The initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen public healthcare delivery in the city.
