WAUSAU – Northcentral Technical College (NTC), in collaboration with the Community Partners Campus, will offer a free dental sealant clinic for children aged 6 to 17.
The clinic is open to the public and will take place from 8 a.m. to noon on April 4 at NTC’s Wausau campus, located in the Center for Health Sciences building at 1000 W. Campus Drive.
During the event, dental sealant services will be provided by NTC dental hygiene students, supervised by licensed dentists and hygienists. The focus will be on preventative care to maintain healthy teeth. Dental sealants are thin coatings applied to the back teeth to prevent cavities by sealing grooves where food and bacteria can accumulate, making teeth easier to clean. The application process is quick and painless, and the sealants can last for several years, offering long-term protection against cavities for children and teenagers.
