After more than 25 years of serving the community, the group has relocated to a new site at 184-186 Dowling Street. This move follows the clinic’s initial opening in 1997, when it began as a single-chair practice dedicated to providing quality dental services to Dungog residents.
The relocation from the original site at 197 Dowling Street started in May 2023. Over the years, the clinic has become an integral part of the local community, and its growth reflects its commitment to meeting the dental needs of the area. As of January 2025, Hunter Dental Group has expanded to a three-chair clinic, offering a modern and welcoming environment for patients.
Hunter Dental Group is the only dental clinic in Dungog and has experienced significant growth. The team is proud of its new facility, designed to better serve the people of Dungog and surrounding areas. Across its locations in Dungog, East Maitland, and Cessnock, the group employs over 25 staff members.
The clinic offers a wide range of services, including general dentistry, emergency care, cosmetic dentistry, and general anesthesia for anxious patients. They also participate in the Child Dental Benefit Scheme (CDBS) and accept Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) benefits. For convenience, they provide on-the-spot claiming with HICAPS for all major health funds and are preferred providers for BUPA, HCF, and CBHS.
Despite the change in location, the core of Hunter Dental Group’s service remains unchanged. Patients can expect the same professional care they have come to trust, now in a new and welcoming setting.
