GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) — Comfort Dental marked a significant milestone on December 23, 2023, by hosting its 40th Annual Free Care Day. For the event, all Comfort Dental locations across the region provided essential dental services at no cost to the community.
Dr. Scott Stoddard, a dentist with Comfort Dental, explained that the free services aimed to address basic dental needs, such as fillings, extractions, and cleanings — procedures often out of reach for some community members.
“This event helps provide the basic dental care that many people in our community may not otherwise receive,” said Dr. Stoddard. “It’s really about offering the essential services that can make a significant difference in their lives.”
The tradition began in 1984, and over the years, Comfort Dental has consistently served thousands of patients. In 2023 alone, the organization treated more than 3,500 individuals during the event.
“It’s something our doctors truly look forward to every year,” Dr. Stoddard continued. “There are so many people who need dental care, and by offering this service every Christmas, we can make a positive impact. It’s rewarding to help others, and it’s something we all feel good about.”
As Comfort Dental prepares for next year’s Free Care Day, Dr. Stoddard expressed his anticipation for the event’s continued success.
