Philips Offers Free Sonicare Toothbrushes to UK Dental Students

by Audrey

Philips is stepping up its support for the future of dentistry by offering a free Sonicare toothbrush to every dental student in the UK. This initiative marks the first major project under the guidance of Kimberley Lloyd-Rees, the company’s newly appointed Education Manager.

Lloyd-Rees is visiting dental schools across the UK to better understand the needs of students and explore how Philips can enhance its support. Her visits are part of a broader effort to help students gain confidence in essential dental practices, including powered tooth brushing, interproximal cleaning, and tooth whitening.

In addition to providing free toothbrushes, Philips will sponsor a range of innovative student events and initiatives. The company is also looking to partner with student ambassadors to create engaging social media content.

Lloyd-Rees brings a wealth of experience to her role, balancing her position with work as a dental therapist. She previously served as a lecturer in dental hygiene at the University of Sheffield. “I’m excited to meet with students across the UK and look forward to working closely with your student unions to support your professional growth,” she said.
