‘Smiles For Miles’ to Offer Free Dental Screenings and Health Services in Kahului on April 26

Community event promotes oral health as part of overall wellness.KAHULUI, Hawai‘i – The Hawai‘i Oral Health Coalition, in partnership with the Hawai‘i Dental Service Foundation and the Hawai‘i Public Health Institute, is hosting a free community health event called “Smiles for Miles” on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center in Kahului. It is open to the public and aims to promote the importance of oral health as a key part of overall wellness.

Free Screenings And Health Resources

“Smiles for Miles” will offer free dental, hearing, vision, and other basic health screenings for both adults and keiki. These services will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The first 30 keiki to receive a dental screening will be awarded a $50 gift card to Famous Footwear, courtesy of Hui No Ke Ola Pono and Project Giving Tree.

Activities for The Whole Family

The event will include a variety of family-friendly activities and wellness classes. Visitors can also participate in the Oral Health Fun Walk, browse health resource exhibitors, and receive free dental products while supplies last.

Throughout the day, attendees will have the chance to win prizes and giveaways.
