SARASOTA, Fla. – A Sarasota-based dental service organization has expanded its reach by acquiring a Brandon periodontics practice, officials announced. The acquisition is part of a strategy to broaden the company’s geographic presence and service offerings.
Parkview Dental Partners has completed the acquisition of Dr. Douglas Wendt Jr.’s periodontics practice in Brandon.
Following the deal, Dr. Wendt, who founded the practice in Hillsborough County, will transition ownership to Dr. Ken Ross, a periodontist with over 25 years of experience on Florida’s Gulf Coast. The practice will be rebranded as Ross and Wendt, Periodontics and Dental Implants.
“I’ve had the privilege of serving this community for many years, and I’m incredibly proud of the practice we’ve built,” Dr. Wendt said. “I’m confident Dr. Ross and the Parkview Dental team will continue to lead the practice and build on the strong foundation we’ve established.”
Parkview Dental Partners is a growth-focused dental partnership that offers services such as billing, insurance, human resources, practice management, and marketing. The organization partners with general dentists and specialists to provide operational support.
With the Brandon acquisition, Parkview Dental Partners now operates 25 practices along Florida’s Gulf Coast.
“This acquisition reflects our commitment to expanding Parkview’s services and delivering enhanced patient care to the West Coast of Florida,” said Parkview CEO Rene Sauerteig.
Parkview Dental Partners is backed by Cathay Capital, a global investment firm that helps middle-market healthcare, technology, and consumer companies grow.
