HENDERSON, Nev., Feb. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ – PDS Health™, a prominent dental and medical support organization, has announced a partnership with Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine to launch an innovative external rotation program for dental students. This collaboration aims to enhance hands-on clinical education by providing students with real-world experience in dental practices.

The new DSO External Rotation Program at Roseman University immerses students in active clinical environments, including PDS Health’s dental practices in Las Vegas and across Nevada. Under the mentorship of seasoned oral health professionals, students will receive valuable patient care experience, bridging the gap between classroom learning and clinical practice. PDS Health, known for its leadership in dental education, offers students an opportunity to refine their skills in a professional setting, preparing them for successful careers in dentistry.

“We’re excited to collaborate with Roseman University’s College of Dental Medicine,” said Stephen E. Thorne IV, Founder and CEO of PDS Health. “This partnership provides dental students with the real-world experience they need to thrive in the field. Our innovative approach to integrated dental and medical care will allow them to see firsthand how technology and collaborative practices are transforming the future of dentistry. We’re proud to be part of their educational journey.”

In addition to clinical experience, the partnership will expose students to the oral health challenges of underserved communities, emphasizing the importance of accessible dental care.

“This partnership gives our students invaluable experience in real-world dental settings while also benefiting the community,” said Dr. Ryan Moffat, Assistant Dean of Oral Healthcare Education at Roseman University’s College of Dental Medicine. “This hands-on training equips students with the confidence and skills necessary for providing high-quality care and excelling in their professional careers.”

Roseman University’s College of Dental Medicine offers a unique educational experience, combining its Six-Point Mastery Learning Model® with a collaborative, lifelong-learning culture. The model includes a Block Curriculum, Competency-based Education, and early experiential learning, all within a classroom environment designed to enhance student learning.

The college aims to improve public oral health, focusing particularly on underserved communities, while training the next generation of dental professionals through education, research, and community service.
